Nope no drifting yet.

Same here. There is a power difference between 87 and 91 but it's only like 10 hp, like ricer sticker heh. I think I may go 89 all the time though but with a 17 gallon tank it's expensive to per fill up. But I think I can go like 1 3/4 weeks before filling up instead of 1 week.

I'll be back in a Subie eventually but for now I wanna play with something different. And I think a green rwd coupe is definately different. My co-workers says it's totally opposite of my personality.

Variety makes Interwebz interesting. I think I'm the only manual SUV driver here.

Then why doesn't he? He could trade in that 08 Rabbit and get a used Jeep and come out a good $7,000 in the black.

Or is he leasing the Rabbit?

he needs the rabbit for daily driving. gas milage would suck otherwise....thats why he got the rabbit.

I guess, I dunno. The Rodeo is my daily driver and gas mileage isn't a huge issue. Then again, I think those Jeeps have 4 liter engines.

Does he want a Wrangler or just a regular Cherokee type thing?

Maybe he could get a Rodeo like me. You can lift them. Gas mileage is very reasonable and you can get them used for cheap.

That is if he's looking for a Cherokee type thing.

Here's a pic of a lifted Rodeo from the same generation as mine.

I think he lives and works in the city. He may have a lengthy commute. Commuting in the city in a lifted rock crawler, even if it gets relatively good fuel economy, is nothing like using teh wabbit for the same purpose. It would not be worth it just to crawl some rocks on the weekend, no matter how much fun that is.

It may also not be cost-effective; if he drives a lot of miles, a new economy car saves a lot of money in gas as well as repairs. In addition to cost-effectiveness, he's still somewhat new in his job (what, 4 months or so?); he needs to be able to get there every day. You don't want to have to call with weak excuses about your vehicle failing.

There's also the issue of image when he arrives in it, and the stress/frustration of dealing with having the wrong car for the job every day.

he has an hour commute (until he moves). that would SUCK if you didn't get good gas miles. and i don't think he'll get a rodeo, he kept talking JEEP all weekend. until we saw a xterra (or two)....

We used to have a Trooper as well. Great truck. But it started rusting after 14 years.

Sweet car! I believe the stock boost setting is only 6psi on that car so if you just turn up the juice a bit, you'll be making the guys with the 3.8 Genesis coupes jealous when you blow past them
