Mad_finn's Ford Fiesta

That is what I bought few hours ago... 24 year old junker, or allmost

Previous owner has swapped 1.8 litre engine and 5 speed tranny and some interrior parts, but the job has been done bit hasty and there isnt too much guality on finshing the job, so there are stacks of electrical wire whit thousands of loose ends all around the car, for the engine, it works allmost like a dream...

and cause the car is guite old there is some minor rust spots, and things like eater, wich dosnt work

I havent checked 0-100 Km/h (0-64mph) yet.. but I can say that it is much under 10sec so its guite fast ... going to check 1/4 mile on next summer but Im gone tase kids who have BMW's and such before that

Handeling is guite good, specially for car of this age, and if I start pushing on limit, it will understeer slightly, giving me the last warning that im going too fast.

Things I need to repair soon...
-Heater motor / wires / swiches
-Driverside headlight, lightpattern isn't anywhere near what it should be
-Rust damge, maily check rearwheelarches and there is some on drives door hinges
-Passager side frot wheel bearings are bit loose
-get rid of 20 miles of useless electrical wire

130 hp (or 119 hp?) in an 24-year-old Fiesta! Holy shit!

"Sir, I hate to suspect the calibration of your equipment, but do you honestly think this old beater can do 200 km/h?"

I hate to admit that even though the car is a hell of a sleeper, the colour scheme, tinted windows and the spoilers are a bit... eh... Well, if it was my car, I'd make it look as much original as possible and get twice the fun when teasing the BMW kids. It would also make the car less... well, noticeable. But then again I'm one of those people who are against all kinds of exterior modifications hinting about the extra oomph under the bonnet in cars like this.

You're right about the interior - it's a mess. But then again it's nothing that can not be fixed, as the previous owner had only changed the steering wheel and not made any "funky" modifications commonly seen in cars like this, like air vents hastily spray-painted with some bright metallic colour or something like that.

130hp / 850Kg (1873lbs) so its nice power/weight ratio

200kmh... I belive that is just about the top speed... tested acceleration to 160kmh and still had about 2k rpm's before redline on 5th gear... BUT It might be that actual driving capeabilities are there after that 160kmh but well we will see them when I get to somewhat straight and empty road, and when ground is dry so I dont have too much fear hitting on ice

Well those wents seem to be in body color, but they are just taped on there, well so it will be at lest for the winter before they are properly attatched,

and yes I dont like those wings on it neither, or the 5 colour paintjob, upper part/lowerpart/sideskits/XR thingy
thinking about to get rid of those and painting it flat black sideskirts I must keep there, because the wheels would come too much out of wheelarches without them

I have some wheelspins even on 4th gear on 100kmh speeds so I dont wanna mess with that sort of power too much...

well try to drive about 65mph, drop to 4th gear and floor it... you will notice no real acceleration but engine revving around redline, steering wiggeling, and the car front end seems to hve lost all traction... then remember you are in a car same size of Image

Clearly the solution to that is to buy studded tires :)

I did manage but, what I mean that car is very light and it has guite wide tires, threfore there isnt too much weight on the tires so they cant get any traction.
