Welcome!

Damn that car is sexy. I really love what BMW did with this new generation z4. Nice color choice. I bet it's a lot of fun!

I didn't notice that before. Looks like brake-by-wire. Do not want! The handbrake is another thing I want to feel, and the cable system was a nice way to make sure there was always some kind of brake even when there's no electricity...

What a car! 8) Usually hard-top convertibles are goofy-looking, but BMW really nailed it with this one. Congrats!

I had to look at that "handbrake" again. At first I thought it was the switch for the roof.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

Man, I am jealous. I sat in the '010 Z4 at the SF auto show a couple weeks back and I wanted more than anything in the world to bring it home. The way the short shifter felt made my shifter feel like a worn out semi. Not to mention I love convertibles and straight-6's. :)
Don't garage that car, drive it, and have fun!

Very nice car, my ex's dad had one, an older, less powerful one. I wasn't a fan considering my Hyundai had more power lol but yours (the 3.0) is very very nice. Any plans to do any work to it?

your engine might make more power, but his straight 6 has the ability to go up to 600+ easily. also it revs out higher im sure. also its RWD :)

thanks everyone!

yeah the ebrake/handbrake isn't my favorite part, but you get used to it. one thing that makes up for it is that it has a feature that keeps the brakes activated for 2 seconds once you take your foot completely off the brake pedal if it senses you're on an incline (not sure what degrees of an incline but i know it only happens when i've been on one steep enough where roll back was possible if not quick on the clutch release). that comes in handy on steep uphill starts :D

here are some of the performance details: 190 kW, 255 HP @ 6,600 rpm. torque 298 @ 2,600 rpm. rev limiter is 8000rpm.

now if only i could hear how sweet it sounds from outside the car while revving up! i know it feels good on the inside though

#1, nice car.

Second...there is hardly much i dont like about new bmw's...except for a few.

1) DBW. I want linkage! Same goes for handbrake.

2) Shifter. Feels like a video game shifter...cant feel a thing.

3) Clutch Delay Valve. This makes shifting too easy, does not allow clutch dumps, and leads to premature wear. The plus side of it though is that it is wicked easy to learn on. I drove a new 335i, and i almost thought it was automatic....it was way, way to easy to drive.
