I'm a traitor....I traded in the Spyder for a 2010 Evo MR
Hey everyone. I went and traded the Spyder in for a 2010 Lancer Evolution MR in rally red. My dad and I made a trip all the way down to Costa Mesa, CA from Billings to get it. I got an awesome deal on it. It has the Accessory Aero kit, Sport Interior package, Ralliart wheel locks, and aluminum trim.
The 2010's got an unadvertised ECU reflash and the TC-SST transmission was smoothed out so the majority of the dyno sheets I have seen from the factory put whp between 250-260. DSport calculated that the flywheel hp was around 329 !!!!
All I can say is that I am very happy with the Evo, the seats, the transmission, the stereo...everything. I'm sure I'll be told I betrayed everyone but I'll still hang out from time to time. =)
Let me know what you guys think. This thing is amazing and I'm glad that my divorce settlement was good for something more than just paying bills

Sweet looking car! I really like the colour. I'm glad you like it but I can't personally say I'd be ready to give up the manual just yet.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

Damn dude, that's almost all the way into my neighborhood. Congrats on the new ride; beautiful car!
Oh, and you're not a traitor for trading in the Spyder for an Evo... you're a traitor for getting a paddle-shifter

Great car, man! I really like it, but like a good amount of guys on here, I'm not sure I'm ready to trade the third pedal.

Holy. Shit.
Your car is way bad @ss and I'm sure you know it.
I test drove one when I bought mine (it was a Ford-Mitsubishi-Vespa dealership, lol), wow that car can move. And stone me if you must, but with a driving experience like that, lack of shifter isn't that big of a deal. F1 guys use paddle shifters and they get by okay (and I'd happily take a McClaren too, thxbai.)
Congrats again, enjoy the hell out of it. Baby for the first thousand miles, then get crazy from then on out.

im assuming because its flappy paddle its at least a DCT? if its an auto transmission with flappy paddles i cannot justify you trading in the 3rd pedal. if its DCT, it sucks, but when you hear it shifting in under 1\100 of a second, you will not care.
congrats on the new ride. although just to be an asshole i will say an STi would've been better...

This. I couldn't give up the 3rd pedal though. All in all, congrats on the purchase! If it makes you happy, that's all that matters .noob5,000,000 wrote:Nice! I don't even mind the flappy paddles . Badass car.

I still think they look better in black and silver, but the red's good. Can't say I like it, but it works.
All jokes aside, 329HP is quite a lot of getup and go for a small car like that.
