Welcome.

Possible clutch explanations:
- You are indeed destroying it yourself
- You are being ripped off
- Your mechanic is honest but is making a mistake

On the second or third clutch did you go to a different mechanic?

What caused you to go to the mechanic for your clutch? What were the symptoms?

Tell us about your driving. Do you drive fast and hard like a common 20 year old (especially one driving a 16 year old Integra), or do you transcend your stereotype? Do you launch at 1000 RPM or 2000 (or 6000  )? Do you do street racing? Do you downshift without rev-matching and upshift at full throttle?

Don your flame-resistant apparel: A 20 year old should be more literate and eloquent than that. There is no excuse for you to type like an 8 year old.

^ . That. Welcome to the site. I can get my car going smoothly somewhere between 1400 and 1600rpms. Faster cars can get away with lower launch revs. Are you not rev-matching your downshifts at all? Even if your off by a few hundred, it's better than clutch braking. theholycow pretty much covered what needs to be covered, and so did potownrob. I just wanted to repeat those few things because those are pretty damn important. Also, doesn't Tony have the same car?

It IS Tony's car. He's driving on third shift, when Tony is asleep. Car sharing is the new wave -tell me you're not sharing your car with the valet guy who copied your key? How would you know if he was coming over and borrowing it for the night, as long as he keeps replacing the clutches he burns out, right?

Point voided. It is important to start on topic before we can get off topic. If we arent ever on a topic to begin with, it may result in a division by 0 situation.

R U sayin oui knead sum topical antiseptic?

I happen to be quite skilled in dividing by zero. It comes easy to me, so I don't see why the big fuss. as an example:

0 gosinta 10,000,000 7 times. Am I the only ones who sees this? It's not rocket Science! It's not brane sugary! It's not even Synchronizer 101.

Just to stay off-topic here, does anyone actually rev-match all their downshifts? I sure don't. If I'm slowing for a light, I want to slow the engine down some, so I guess it's clutch braking, but I wait for my revs and speed to fall far enough where I don't feel it's especially violent on the clutch. I see no reason to rev match up rather than bringing engine speed down. Coast, downshift, coast, downshift, etc. If doing this is bad, I don't know if I wanna be right.

And just to be on-topic for a brief second, I have no idea why you're going through clutches so fast, but yes, you're probably doing something stressful to the system. I've never had to replace a clutch on any of my cars despite putting on plenty of miles, and I haven't exactly followed every SS rule to live by. Plus, Tegs are sposedta be hecka bulletproof, no?
