No, I still have the Crown Vic. I haven't decided what to do with it yet. I don't even have it up for sale yet. It's not in the best of shape because I've been romping on it for the past year without a care in the world. If I sell, it will have to be cheap.

whenever i see these cars i always think they should be RWD. the F20C engine in the S2000 would be sweet as hell in this car, and almost the same amount of horsepower (alot less weight though)

I'm thinking about adding a subwoofer to the Acura, since it does not come with one. Will it be as easy as running a power line from the battery to the trunk, then tapping the existing signals to run to the amp? How would I secure the subwoofer to the trunk; do I literally have to drill holes into it and screw in some brackets?

I am a n00b to subs. All my previous cars came with one, or I didn't care enough to put one in...

Do you have an aftermarket head unit, or factory stock unit? Best case scenario, you have an aftermarket with sub preamp outs; you just run an RCA cable back to the sub amp (and yes, power to the amp as well; you can run just the positive power lead, and attach the DC common / ground connection to a bare chassis point in the trunk).

If not, you'll have to tap into the speaker outs and run them through a crossover, which segregates the low-frequency portion of the signal from the high frequency portion; then you amplify and route each to the appropriate speakers.

Yes, you guys are correct. I have a stock unit, but it's a sophisticated one with external amps. I'll tap into the line-levels going into the external amp for the rear speakers (bonus, this amp is located in the trunk). That much I understand (theory). What I'm asking advice on is more on the logistical side of things (application) such as securing the sub to the trunk, other tidbits I should be aware of, etc. Do I literally drill holes in the trunk and sub box to screw on some brackets? Seems kind of barbaric to me
