Did you notice any loss of power from keeping the same gears and up-sizing the tires? The stock 4.10s should be fine, but you never know.
Yeah, there is a noticeable difference between 31s and 33s. No doubt. Not as severe with 4.10s though.

Installed a mod to be able to carry a 33" tire where my stock one was in the back. Ordered the said spare tire from tirerack. Originally I thought I'd get away with 4 and buy a used tire off ebay or c-list. Yeah, that's not going to happen. All I see for sale are 31's or 35's. Really?

A motor mount lift is in the mail to arrive on Wednesday to be installed same night. Lifting the motor slightly to correct the angles of the drivetrain. This is also a supporting mod for a 1-1.25" body lift that will come later this year.

I'm not quite happy since I've had to lower the t-case skid down to lower the t-case itself as it's bolted to the skid plate. I've list about an inch of belly clearance down there. I've had to to it to correct some small vibes from the driveshafts due to angles after the lift. There are multiple after market solutions to this but I don't know whis one I will consider yet.

One of my next smaller purchases will be a CB radio. I need comms.

Get this one. IMO the Cobra 29 LTD is the best radio money can buy.

Be careful not to get too cheap of one. I have one I use for work occasionally that is handheld and has a plug in charger for car use. Its range is not the best, and by that I mean: sucks. I sometimes can't hear people responding from 400 or so feet away, though they can hear me. Played with gain and position. Doesn't help. Get something a bit beefier and you should be fine. I've used a couple that are the professional install type that wire through the dash, they seem to work well and have good range.

I ran a Cobra something or the other in an old truck of mine so I've some experience with these. I was using a Firestick antenna (non-whip) mounted externally to the bumper and it worked ok once I had a nice and solid ground for the antenna. I'd chat with truckers on long road trips since they were as bored as myself at times.

This is a good piece. I've personal experience with it, however never owned one. With the right antenna setup it will work well. Thanks for reminding me about this one.

I have been hearing clunking recently when turning with your wheel against an obstacle like a curb. It would also mess up my steering wheel centering.

I traced it down to a shifting trackbar mount in the front due to a wallowed out metal sleeve in the lower joint.

I called Rough Country, which is where I got the trackbar from and after me sending them a quick pic of the part, they warrantied the replacement with no questions asked. I told them that I have to leave on a road trip this Saturday so the rep has immediately agreed to ship the piece via air to be here tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

Great customer service by Rough Country.

My spare tire is in along with a matching spare wheel. Getting mounted and balanced tomorrow. Already have an adapter to carry the 33 back there.

Also received my motor mount lift. Installing tonight.

Good god. Went to install my motor mount lift as a supporting mod to upcoming body lift and a helper mod for drivetrain angle reduction. And surely I cross-threaded a motor mount bolt. Messed with it for a while before the incident and was getting mad because mount wasn't lining up. I should never wrench mad.

Got a tap and die and now all is well and installed. One thing remains to install is the replacement sleeve in the trackbar joint that I'm getting sent under warranty.
