New Wheels ...

Post by Charles421 »

I replaced my stock 18" M Sport wheels with BMW Performance Style 269 wheels. Got rid of the runflat tires (RFTs) while I was at it. Now running Hankook V12s Max Perf. Summer, 235/35/19 front, 265/30/19 rear. Rides a lot smoother and I have a better feel for the road.
The RFTs were rock hard - if you went into a turn aggressively, they would skip/stutter across the road surface. It's quite an unsettling feeling. These tires grip the road far better. I really love the difference. Of course, now I have to carry a spare with me.

Off topic - I had my car dyno'd the other day (Mustang MD250). BMW rates this engine for 300HP/300TQ at the crank. Mine dynoed at 280HP and 322TQ at the wheels! It pulls like a mother ...
