I think there should be like some type of Fit Si or something. I'd totally rock one of those.

Hopefully they will put the k20 in the Fit. I dont think that k20 is doing anything

But L15 isn't that bad for what the car actually is. But if Ford brings in a Fiesta ST then I bet honda (hopefully) will do something good aswell.

So today in my design class I decided that I am going to do some body work to this car. First thing is first is to fix the door dent (possibly) and fix the rust around the trunk.

I am sure someone will talk me out of it/

So today I did some more assessment of the rust. Especially in the trunk. Boy I got a lot on my hands. Looks like one weekend I will need to weld in a piece on the bottom right of the trunk.. Also it looks like my piece under the tail light is rusting again but thats because I think the previous owner of that piece had a bolt there and just scraped the paint off.

Anyone have experience welding?

I am beginning to think that another car will also be needed while I do this. So obviously I Am going to continue looking.

No welding for me. Done some small soldering, but no welding.

^ No welding? Not even using the battery?

I've heard of trailside emergency welding with the battery, but my understanding is that you would never want to plan on doing it that way nor would it be a permanent repair.

Welding equipment good enough for sheet metal can be found on craigslist for little money. I haven't bothered since most welding I ever want to do is structural...or the old trick of welding a nut onto a seized bolt's head/broken bolt.

All of my repairs will be cosmetic, and one is going in the trunk. I figured that will be the best place to start since noone will ever see it. Not even me. It's under the carpet.

If it wasn't for needing practice welding, I'd say just screw/bolt the trunk piece (maybe with silicone caulk to seal it).

Oh no, its bad. I will have to post pictures. Its because the tail light has sun cracks in it and it allowed water to flow into the trunk and it would pool there.
