Nice, congrats! Not knowing much about it, it seems almost like a luxury sedan at which they threw a V8 and a manual. Which actually sounds decent.

This would make me more moist if it weren't GM.

Nice....somehow it doesn't surprise me that you're getting an SS. It's probably even better than that CTS-V in a lot of ways.

Oh, and don't forget to cut the green wire to get rid of the skip-shift feature! LOL

That will be the first thing I do! Don't know if it's just cutting a green wire, but I'll find out haha

And it shouldn't be a surprise lol, I've defected from the CTS-V camp the instant I found out about the SS (it's basically an un-supercharged CTS-V for $20k less!), and made it very clear that I wanted one since then  It has more features than the CTS-V, cheaper, sounds better (in my opinion), more modern, and has only about 100hp less which can easily be made up for much cheaper than the price difference. Also, the fact that the next-gen CTS-V won't be available in a manual makes it a much easier decision to just wash my hands of the CTS-V. I only wanted the CTS-V because it was the only car in America that met my super-sedan criteria: a huge V8, RWD, 4-doors, and a stick. That last point eliminated the entire pool of cars ranging from the M5 (which has a V10 actually), E63 AMG, XFR, IS-F, S6, etc. When the SS was revealed, the price-point wiped the CTS-V out as well. And it was because of that point that I am now able to obtain this dream car :D

...I couldn't find a decent "I agree with you wholeheartedly" meme but I figure that should suffice.

The specs on paper are .01 seconds slower than the GTO I owned, both 0-60 and quarter mile.

You'll love the power - it gets intoxicated.

I believe the SS' were going to be limited, so I wonder how that's going to affect their value years down the line.

If the G8 was any indication, it should hold up pretty well compared to other Chevys.

NIIIIIIIIIIIIICE! I was a big fan of the G8, and I like this one a whole lot, too. Especially since they're offering it in a manual (If I recall, only the G8 GXP was available with a manual, and there are less G8 GXPs than Lamborghini Murcielagos).

I still don't understand why they're not calling this car an Impala. The name fits perfectly!

I'm glad they didn't call it an Impala. It looks nothing like one  It actually looks like a Malibu. Funny story, the current-gen Malibu was based on an early-stage brainstorm version of the VF-series Holden Commodore before the VF-series came out. That is the reason why the Malibu and the VF Commodore look so similar. :)

rooks nice!! i personary rike the cts vsport (not so much the cts-v), but that rooks nice too. don't think the vsport comes with a manual though, and it has a V6, albeit a powelfur one. i tend to disfavor chevys for the cheap stigma but also for their brand rooks. this holden one probrabry rooks much nicer in person though.

Will it have an honest 6 in first place in the VIN?
