I love the GR STi's but they are too bloody expensive. I will have one in due time though. My civic has seen better days.
Jomo - you have one sick ride my friend... Props for the install

And low-selfesteem is not cool either.
@Leedeth: Do you need psychological help? Are you depressed? Or am I mistaken and you are actually a gay?
Been driving stick since March of 2009

Re: Jomotopia's STi (Updated 9/12/09 - Stage 2!)
let's not spam up my thread too much please. thanks.
thanks for the comments about my install. the car is feeling even faster now that the ECU has had some time to learn. but i do have one issue, and that's the smell. some research leads me to believe it's one or a combination of 4 things.
1> the Cobb off-the-shelf map runs rich (to be safe), and with only 1 cat instead of 2, i'm just getting an exhaust smell. hopes are that after a while the ECU will learn some more and lean itself out a bit and the smell will go away. a pro tune would lean it out and make it stop smelling, but it'll be awhile before i'm ready to drop the cash on that.
2> the PB Blaster and any other stuff that may have gotten on the exhaust burning off. but i would expect that to be pretty much gone by now.
3> an exhaust leak. at some point i'm gonna need to get back under there and check it out, see if i can find a leak and if i do either tighten some bolts down more or replace some gaskets.
4> there is a plastic/rubber a/c condensation drain hose that comes out of the engine bay near the downpipe. it's far enough away from the stock downpipe, but with the bigger aftermarket one, it may be touching or too close and melting that hose. i'll be checking on that this weekend. if it is getting melted, hopefully i can reach to move it without having to take the downpipe off.
i'll try to remember to get a sound clip this weekend. but i don't know how good it will sound, i'll be using my little digital camera on video record mode. it has a mic but i have no idea what the quality of the recording will be.

Re: Jomotopia's STi (Updated 9/12/09 - Stage 2!)
the smell thing is normal for a freshly-installed exhaust.
my previous car-back smelled like burning oil with a mixture of eggs for a while. it should fade off in a week or so, depending on how much you drive.
looking forward to the vid
