They're ebay projectors.

They have an e-code styled cutoff that angles upward to the right so you can see pedestrians, road signs, and when you pass people on the left, it shines bright into their mirror so they know you're passing them.

Honestly, I'd rather have the harmonized cutoff, in which it starts to go up but then is cutoff again horizontally. Looks like an angled S-curve, and I think that looks pretty slick. Most OEM HID projectors have that style of cutoff, but I'm getting used to having that up/right sweep now...

ouch on that cutoff. people in front of you must hate you.

if you can, see if you can make a new cutoff shield for it or something. that kind of cutoff is designed for halogens, where the intensity isnt great enough for it to go that high. output does look pretty decent for ebay projectors though.

The cutoff is actually right below the average car's rear license plate when they're in front of me, and it goes upward and to the right enough so that the cars directly in front are not under the cutoff.

People in front and to the right however are a different story...

I'm trying to figure out how to crack open the projectors but they look pretty sealed up. I might have to take a dremel to em, but if I'm gonna go through all that work, might as well buy a pair of D2S projectors and capsules and just glue them in place.

That'll be the logical next step, but I'm short on money right now so it'll have to wait.

kelly, you throw the camera up in the air on a 2 or 3 second timer and mess around with throwing angles til you get the pic. thats how they always do it, but never admit and come up with bullsh1t like holding the tripod by the legs above their heads or standing on something.

Too bad the effing thing doesn't work!

I haven't bothered to fix it. It'd be nice to have a working sunroof, though, but for now i just slide the cover part open to make it "feel" like it's open. Lets a little more light in and psychologically feels like a more empty space.
