Synchros shot? Weird noises while shifting? Not sure what needs to be replaced?

I'm not large enough. You're thinking of my cousin Bessie.

i hardly think that braking with enough force to make the spare tire dislodge itself from the hole it sits in and throw all the garbage and bags on top of it and go thru the back of the back seat and go into the front seats can be described as normal. on a race track thats normal. on a highway, not very normal.

Why does it have to be about the spare coming forward and killing the driver? Isn't it enough to protect the stuff in the trunk (laptop computer or suitcase with toothpaste in it) from normal bouncing around on normal bumpy roads?

A few years back, there was a kid that ran a stop sign not too far from my town and the woman he hit was killed by her unrestrained spare tire. It does happen.
