Re: Car wobbling while braking
As per google search...somewhat. Valucrap=Valucraft. I've seen it around, but never actually seen anyone purchase it.

Valucraft is the lowest of the low products that we sell at Autozone. Roughly equal to making car parts out of mud and twigs. Next step is Duralast, which is on par with OEM. Following that is Duralast Gold, which exceeds OEM standards. Finally (for brake pads only) comes Duralast Gold CMAX, which are ceramic and expensive

Nah not really though I rarely hit the brakes all that hard. Theyre nice and quiet and clean though. Im not going to complain about purchasing them.

Re: Car wobbling while braking
Exactly! Last week I was driving on an extremely bumpy road and the vibration were inexplicable compared to the cars around me and then I noticed it's always wobbling when braking especially on higher speeds, and there's excess vibration. At first I only felt it in the vehicle shaking, it felt like I was running over bumpy pavement. Then it got worse and I felt it in the brake pedal.
Another question how does that affect other parts or it doesn't?? I am gonna fix it next week but I am curious.

Re: Car wobbling while braking
Warped brake rotors shaking the vehicle could conceivably rattle other stuff enough to cause premature wear on wheel bearings, shocks, and front end parts.
There is a possibility, though unlikely, that it's something other than warped brake rotors. Because at first mine couldn't be felt in the pedal I tried to find out what else it could be. The same list I gave above (wheel bearings, shock absorbers, front end parts) could be the cause if it's not your brake rotors.

If you find an older one, or inherit it...yes it is.theholycow wrote:You have a brake lathe? Is that an affordable investment for a DIYer?
Also, for pads. Ceramic Adaptive One pads are some of the best oem replacements that I have used. They are sold at places like Napa. Although they make a bit of dust, they have superior stopping power and are quiet. I mean, totally silient.
Also,
Warped brake rotors are the death of the caliper guide pins and clips!!!!theholycow wrote:Warped brake rotors shaking the vehicle could conceivably rattle other stuff enough to cause premature wear on wheel bearings, shocks, and front end parts.

Re: Car wobbling while braking
Is there a place to drop off used brake fluid? Never seen it posted in the auto stores.

I had some bad Michellin tars wunce that wobbled at low speeds when cold. Didn't trust them much at higher speeds when I found out that they were experiencing "belt migration"

Re: Car wobbling while braking
Put the trans in Neutral. If the wobble / vibration continues, it's not the powertrain mounts.rubi wrote:I am starting to think it's a mount, it vibrates even when i am not moving now!!

Re: Car wobbling while braking
Well the car shakes in neutral or at low rpm, it kinda wobbles, more like the dashboard is shaking and i can feel it in the gas pad...

Re: Car wobbling while braking
Does it smooth out if you raise the RPM from idle and hold it steady at that higher RPM in neutral?
