CEL codes for 01 Civic EX

Synchros shot? Weird noises while shifting? Not sure what needs to be replaced?

CEL codes for 01 Civic EX

Post by FDSpirit »

My friend's CEL came on today. Went to AZ to get it checked out. He got 2 codes. (directly from email)

P0171 (That's a zero not the letter "O") - System Too Lean (Bank 1)

P1259 - Manufacturer Control - Fuel Air Metering
The 1st one needs to be looked into a bit more, but the 2nd is a manufacturer code for a VTEC system malfunction :? I'm asking the people on here because HT seems to not really respond to my threads even though there isn't any stuff like this in the FAQs. He's gonna bring it up to the dealer either way, but if it's something that I can fix(although that looks like a no-go), I'd rather him just bring the car here.
EDIT:Seems it may be oil pressure is too low(from a civic enthusiast forum). I sent him an email to have him check his oil level. I'll report back later.
