New noise from engine

Synchros shot? Weird noises while shifting? Not sure what needs to be replaced?

I would agree with Matt. I have experience a number of alternator failures with the truck (due to offroading and debris getting in there) and mine has whined like this before dying a number of times. Power steering pump would normally whine like this as well but only when you turn the wheel back and forth. I had that as well.

Then again, my opinion is based on a video seen via the web and heard via laptop speakers. Meh.
