Tools To Start Working On Cars?

Synchros shot? Weird noises while shifting? Not sure what needs to be replaced?

Where'd you scoop that up from, Moofasa? I checked Advance and AZ online for both and can't find that specific one.

I've seen them at Harbor Freight but I bought mine for like $2.50 at Walmart.

watkins, on my truck there's no room to line up a screwdriver and swing a hammer. End-cap wrenches are the only way to go.

For those wanting dual-purpose tools, I bet one of these would work:

I have a set of 3, the one that size is pictured holding my angle grinder to my truck bed rail in my project thread.

I lost my pair of grippy gloves for the job. That usually works if the car isn't too hot though.

Depends how hot it is. If it's not too warm, it reminds me of... Uh, nevermind. This post never happened.

Hot oil on your hand is one thing. Hot oil soaked into a glove that you cant easily remove is another. For that reason, rubber gloves go over my mechanics glove when I deal with hot oil. At least for the rare instance that I actually wear a glove

I sometimes use my lineman's gloves. They're big rubber gloves that go to the elbow and have cloth inserts just as long.

Actually, Harbor Freight has these "Rubber blasting gloves" for $7, they look perfect:
