anyway, when you go over small little "bumps", does your car seem to hit them super hard? i'm thinking that your struts/shocks are on their way out, and that's accounting for large amounts of body roll. assuming they're really screwed up, your car might seem like it has hydraulics (underdamping is the scientific term, i believe). large amounts of unpredicted suspension travel would cause bump steer (when the control arm and tie rod move in different arcs) and bump steer would seemingly tug on the wheel, add some bind into the equation and who knows how it would all come together.
