Screeching sound coming from left wheel

Synchros shot? Weird noises while shifting? Not sure what needs to be replaced?

Screeching sound coming from left wheel

Post by bk7794 »

Here's the thing, it only happens when going forward. When I go backwards or spin the wheel backwards it stops. The screeching does not change when braking or turning. I am hoping its my brakes, going to give them a try tomorrow.

sounds like brakes but what do i know. is it constant or on-off?? my guess is warped rotors (if on-off) or pads or something in the hardware (if constant).

Turned out that a piece of rust from the rotors was jammed between the pad holders and the rotor.
