i found my 1->2 shift to be a lot smoother if i give it more gas than usual.
looks like me babying my car too much is actually making my shifts worse

I think I finally figured it out. I need to revmatch before I go into gear. If timings right I don't have to, but usually I do because I usually like to baby the transmission.
