If you can't heel-toe, it isn't a car.

You're acting like this is a democracy... It's not.. It's a benevolent dictatorship run by standardshifter. :)

I can't wait for the girls to come in here, lol.

PS. LS1, Who defines what is benevolent... the Admin or the members? :)

Is it really 'kind' just closing the thread or should I or others be warned first, then, if not adhered to.... take appropriate actions? 8)

Oh, well... another thread can always be started!

"Benevolent" in their own eyes. :)

I haven't been to a site where the admins/mods have been sadistic. They just don't like trouble, whether it's minors looking at porn or flame wars. Only place I've seen serious censorship is partisan political forums.

Most forums consider thread closing a warning; the actual punishment is banning from the forum.

While people may hold their opinions about this forum's purpose, I feel that people can read the thread title and decide whether they want to check it out or not, and if it's disagreeable enough with them, they can post their disagreement and let the admins/mods choose to do what they please.

I don't recommend testing admins, though. :)

Can't believe that actually happened . I was always asking myself why there were "stop engine and no smoking" signs at the gas pumps as nobody would be that stupid to play fire at the pumps...but I guess there was someone :!:

Oh the movie said "in New Jersey this sort of thing would have never happened. That's why they pump your gas for you. So you don't get set on fire" but I think they do that is mainly because there were many people who didn't pay for their gas after they pumped their gas .

Sure.. Pretty similar to how your spark plug works...

There have been cases of fires near pumps being started by static electricity. It's usually caused by drivers getting in and out of their cars during fuel pumping. Statistically it occurs more often with women, because they seem to prefer getting back into their cars during pumping. Not my opinion, an actual statistic.

Ah I see forgot about that one. Thanks :D .

Never went back to my car during pumping before, and now there is even a good reason NOT to . Then maybe there should be some updated warning signs say "stop engine, no smoking and stay at the pump until pumping is done" at the gas pumps .
