Does anyone use the chat server anymore? Here's the new address:

Server = cedarparkserver.com
Port = 9000 (9001 for SSL)
Channel = #standardshift
i'm busy on thegeekgroup.org's chats....op on the official one, not on the unofficial one

I'm probably dropping off from the SS chat as well since there's no-one around.

I'll try to figure out IRC later tonight if people are still chatting. It's one thing I never bothered to do when I was younger...

I vaguely think I connected. But there only seems to be 4 people connected, and none online... If people are on during the day, I totally know what my new distraction at work will be.

Ok, post again in an hour to remind me to go online...I'll help you waste some time.

At work, out of a meeting. Though I will be in and out of the office for the next 45 min or so

There is a bot named mandalyn.

Yesterday evening for a few hours nobody said anything (pretty normal at that time of day), then tinton showed up and said stuff. Then this went down:

[22:52:52] <theholycow> OH SHIT SOMEONE'S HERE
[22:52:56] <theholycow> mandalyn: hide the shit
[22:53:01] <+mandalyn> Look over there!
[22:53:03] mandalyn runs
[22:53:09] <theholycow> lol
[22:57:36] <@mtheis> LOL
[22:58:27] <theholycow> that might have been the best mandalyn moment ever
[22:58:37] <@mtheis> yes, i agree

He shows up in chat, but not on the forum.

Try that.
Change the port? As in the port of an irc server you'd like to connect to?

Code:

/server irc.yourserver.org:xxx

where xxx is the port number of the irc server
or http://forum.xchat.org/viewtopic.php?t=153

And if you're using a different xchat, I've got nothing. :lol: :wink:

I am not the IRC pro, that'd be Cow or mtheis. I just figured out how to connect using Firefox add-on. And even that took me a few tries :lol: :lol: :roll:
