Good stuff Squint and Cow!

Might have to change my signature to:
It all just seemed so good the way we had it. Back before everything became automatic.
Hey, I don't like men who sing alto in classical works, and I don't like that woman in the Pointer sisters singing with a male voice.

Now fear this:

I move that we make Easter our SS Holiday

Oh, come, oh, come, a manual,
And gladden Standard Shift members,
That mourn in lonely exile here
Until the stick of shifting appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! A manual
Shall come to you, O Standard Shifters!

Oh, come, our launches from in low,
Which wear the clutch only slightly;
To us the path of shift knob motion show,
and teach us in clutch engagement "to go".
Rejoice! Rejoice! A manual
Shall come to you, O Standard Shifters!

So long as we are going through the history of Rick Derringer, may as well put up a vid of Rick playing in Johnny's band. Rick's band the McCoys became the And in Johnny Winter And. When Johnny went into rehab, Johnny's brother Edgar started working with Rick. I never cared for Rick, he was rather slutty, though he was born again about 15 years ago.

Rick with Johnny:

Original version and words for Still Alive and Well (Rick not in this one). This is Johnny's comeback after 9 months in rehab for heroin addiction, so here he is "still alive and well":

Legend has it that the line "everyone he though was cool is six feet under gound" is in regard to Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin.

Rick did a nice job on the original Still Alive and Well with Edgar Winter's White Trash:

Born again Rick (atta-boy Rick, now you're talkin):

Too bad Rick never partnered with his brother Yancy.

Back then, being a Yancy meant you were a smooth-talkin' tough guy.

Johnny Winter was okay, but not as much of a blue guitarist as this guy:
