I don't mind driving 35 miles to my job. In fact, there are few things I would trade my commute for. Opportunity to drive everyday, listen to tunes, practice shifting, etc...

I tolerate NYC because I've lived all my life here (except 6 yrs in Albany) and am used to it. All my family is here and my future wife owns lots of property here and will not want to leave.

I guess you can say that I hate NYC, but it's one of the few places I would ever consider living. Plus, the Yankees and Jets just freaking rule...

have to press that button to the right to toggle between the odo, trip odo A and trip odo B. i do wish it showed both the odo and trip odo (and i don't need the second trip odo, which gets reset now and then anyway) at the same time.

I use my Odo A to track my gas mileage, so if I didn't have Odo B, my car would never get an oil change.

I rack up about 27k a year as well. I also live in the city.

what i was trying to say is that my second trip odo is useless since it resets itself on its own...

Am I the only one who just knows when I need to change the oil? I just remember when without any kind of foolish decal or trip odo

Probably. I make a mental note of oil change intervals. Everything else is in a notebook.

I'm nearing 164k. I just realized that I've put almost 60k on my car since I got it.

Are you saying that you know intuitively without worrying about mileage, or that you are able to remember the mileage of your last oil change?

As for me, I don't need a trip odo or foolish decal. In my GMC a light comes on to tell me when it's time, and in my VW it's time when the mileage is divisible by 10,000.

I know when to change my oil by checking how much gasoline is in it
