How long have you owned your current car(s)?
While I was vacuuming a few minutes ago, a thought popped into my head (my mind wanders when I vacu- SHIT I GOT THE FRINGE CAUGHT AND IT WRAPPED ON THE BRUSHROLL). Since my name is 94Corolla5Speed and I've been on this site for nearly 3 years soon, I realize that I still haven't made an ass of myself yet of making my username my car. And then I realized damn, I've owned this car since July 28, 2007. About 3.5 years. Not too long in any case but it feels like a long time to me. About 20% of my life. So how long have you owned your current cars? Post specifics of actual dates if you please.
I put up to 3 options for those with multiple cars.

Owned the jeep for just about 2 months now.
I've owned the goat for a year and 3 months.
See, I have automotive ADD. I have decided that having this with new cars gets expensive so I have a nice car to keep and old cars that I can switch out here and there as I please.

I've owned my first car for 12 years or so. The latest addition was the motorcycle just shy of two years ago.

Re: How long have you owned your current car(s)?
Like so many things in my life, I have commitment and loyalty with my vehicles. I've had my truck for over 8 years and my Buick for over 6 years. My wife has had her Isuzu for over 5 years and her Monte Carlo SS since she was like 15 or something.
I had my Pontiac that I hated for about 5 years. I had my Caddy for 2 years and I shouldn't have gotten rid of it, but then my wife (girlfriend then) had it for...umm...a long time.
I had a Ranger (family company owned) for a few months. I didn't particularly like or dislike it but it had problems that our mechanics didn't seem able to fix right, it had like 230,000 miles on it, and we had plenty of money at the tail end of the booming economy so we bought my current truck.

I got the Escort when I got the licence in winter 2004. So, six years and ten months or so...
The Focus came to our family as new in 1999. I don't remember at which time of the years, but this is the 12th year in any case.

God, it would be so hard to keep the same car for more than 5 years. I would require something different. Unfortunately that's a costly habbit.
