August 14-17, Monterey, CA
The Mille Miglia North America Tribute, honoring the world-renowned Italian Mille Miglia road race, is set to take off this August in Monterey, California. This 1,000-mile event will loop around the Monterey Peninsula, and wind through Santa Barbara, Napa Valley, and San Francisco. Setting this adventure apart from other Mille events are the high standards set to maintain the tradition of the original Italian driving event— a Sealing Ceremony and a mapped route taking participants through historic back roads. Alessandro Casali, President of the Mille Miglia, evokes what the Mille Miglia represents:

"The Mille Miglia is, above all, an event of incredible historic value. It is a unique event that unites history, tradition, and prestige, and is so special that the Italian Government is using it as a symbol of our country- a testimonial of excellence in its missions abroad."
This extraordinary 3-day adventure will wrap up in the heart of Monterey, just in time for drivers to prepare for the world famous Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Sandro Binelli, Secretary General of the Mille Miglia, describes the exciting decision to bring the event to North America:

"California was carefully chosen to host the first North America Mille Miglia Tribute because passion for cars, an authentic American characteristic, will be enhanced by the magnificent landscapes of the Golden State. This is a perfect setting to host the inaugural Mille Miglia North American Tribute in cultivating Mille Miglia tradition and emotions."
The Mille Miglia North America Tribute is the only officially licensed event supported by the Italian Government. The Tribute will only accept 300 nationally and internationally qualified vehicles manufactured between 1927 and 1957. Entry fees start at $8,000 per vehicle.
