Think I'm talking about Toyota? Nope, think again. Did you know that Audi is still fighting a class action lawsuit for unintended acceleration on the Audi 5000 that it sold more than 25 years ago? I first heard about this on one of my Audi forums. It's shocking that this hasn't been put to bed by now. I thought it was known that it was driver error and not a defect/glitch with the cars, yet there are still people fighting for compensation. Unbelievable. Just imagine how long Toyota will be fighting lawsuits, considering that there are FAR more cars involved in Toyota's mess than Audi dealt with 25 years ago.
It makes me sick to my stomach when I see bone-headed drivers blaming car manufacturers for their own incompetence. None of this would have ever happened if these were all manual transmission cars!
