Oh man, do I hate automatic HVAC controls. My wife's 2005 Mountaineer has them and they are simply impossible to work unless you have the passenger do it, or pull off the road.Standardshifter wrote:05 Legacy GT wagon S

Give me the simple three dial HVAC: Fan, Temp, Selection.

Re: What you love/hate about your car!
If you hate it, it probably doesn't work right. I rarely have to mess with my climate controls. I mess with my trip meter more, and I only do that when I fill gas. Back when I had my first car with automatic climate control, I thought the same thing: "OMG, bring back the three-dial!" But after I gave it a chance and didn't fiddle with it every traffic light, it did a very good job of keeping the cabin comfortable without me having to adjust this-and-that all the time. Now I love it.InlinePaul wrote:Oh man, do I hate automatic HVAC controls. Actually, what's great about the CL is that even though the climate control is automatic, it still has dials for fan speed and temperature (only Mode was a button). For that rare occasion that I want to control the climate myself, it still is just as easy as turning a knob. My Mazdaspeed6 was like that too.
