I'd be curious to know what it's all about. This van rides smoothly and steady, corners well, and has resonsive steering. Considering I had an Aerostar for 18 years, the Voyager can't be any worse than the Aerostar.

Aerostars, now those are tipsy.

I don't know but I owe Shadow an apology for unwittingly hijacking his thread.

Well, about rain-sensing wipers: They would be great if and only if they always work perfectly, never make the horrible scrubbing noise of dry rubber across the window, and never break (unless there is a manual override), but still I won't go out of my way for them. :|

Yeah, it happens, and even though I don't care for the rain sensing wipers, they are a clever device.

No big deal--happens all the time.

FWIW, I used to think the same way about rain-sensing wipers. Never wanted them and never thought I'd use them. But now after seeing how perfectly they work, I'll use them all the time. Yes, they are that good. No dry rubber scrubbing across the window....that's the whole point.

I like gadgets in general, so I like car gadgets very much. Gimme rain-sensing vipers, lane change warnings and adaptive cruise controls. In contrary thinking to most automotive enthusiast forums, those "driver nannies" don't instantly make me an unaware cucumber. W/o them I'm not going to suddenly change a lane, slamming into a bus full of nuns, then rearending a special needs boyscout group all because I didn't turn on my windshield vipers during the thunderstorm.

Okay, first time you did that I thought it was a typo. So I gotta ask: what's up with "vipers"?

I like car gadgets too, though the one stupid thing that Sync has on my Fiesta.. it doesn't have a USB button so I have to use voice activation to get it to play through USB. I don't know why they didn't put one on there...

But yeah, I'm still enjoying the hands free phone thing, and I have never used rain sensing wipers, though I think maybe the new Avalons might have them? I'll have to look that up.

He mentions that he visits SS mostly, if not always, on his mobile device. I'm assuming his phone is autocorrecting wipers to vipers.

Shadow, do your wipers have a transmission inside of them? Or are they similar to the Ford Focus where they use direct drive motors?

No idea. And it's not easy to see because the entire cowl area is completely covered up even under the hood.
