I'd drive to Texas for a meat. It's a straight shot South on 35. This would be contingent upon having a job with vacation time.

I've been around a couple of years now - so I'm probably in the veteran but not old-timer category.

I also seriously doubt I could make it to Texas for a meet... between µSquint and the wife, they probably wouldn't approve  (and.. you know.. vacation time.. logistics..)

That'll be quite the drive. I've made the drive from here to Chicago a few times and it's pretty tiresome. I've always done those in one day, though. Straight through.

Yeah, I've been here quite a while and racked up a large post count...I just didn't have anything to say aboot it.

Also for some reason on Standardshift I consider myself a mid-timer, even though sometimes on other forums I consider myself an old-timer without being there from its inception any more than I was here. From my perspective there are the true old-timers who were here years before me, and a few batches of newer folks.

Actually, I don't consider myself one of the foundering fathers of this site.

None of us that posted here are actually founding fathers. We are just post whores that have been a round a bit.
