Re: Are you a standardshift old timer?
I'd drive to Texas for a meat. It's a straight shot South on 35. This would be contingent upon having a job with vacation time.
Re: Are you a standardshift old timer?
I've been around a couple of years now - so I'm probably in the veteran but not old-timer category.
I also seriously doubt I could make it to Texas for a meet... between µSquint and the wife, they probably wouldn't approve (and.. you know.. vacation time.. logistics..)

That'll be quite the drive. I've made the drive from here to Chicago a few times and it's pretty tiresome. I've always done those in one day, though. Lurking around for the most part, SAE is taking up most of my time now. Usually at school from 10am-10pm most days.

Yeah, I've been here quite a while and racked up a large post count...I just didn't have anything to say aboot it.
Also for some reason on Standardshift I consider myself a mid-timer, even though sometimes on other forums I consider myself an old-timer without being there from its inception any more than I was here. From my perspective there are the true old-timers who were here years before me, and a few batches of newer folks.

Actually, I don't consider myself one of the foundering fathers of this site.
