I planned on getting a six pack of Hoegaarden after work, but that never happened. Don't know why. Got the car in the garage and locked up. Turned on the TV and kicked my shoes off. Realized something was missing but just never got back up to get any from the store.

FDSpirit wrote:I never understood that either. Give me a few shots of vodka and im good to go. And its not a bad buzz or drunk either. Bad beer just doesn't sit well in your stomach and the feeling isn't good. You're drunk, but at the same time you wanna hurl.
Most days I'd rather have good beer than vodka, but I really frickin' like beer, so...

You're right, though. I started with cheapass beer. Then I got into craft beer. Wise move. Every time I'd end up drinking piss-ass rotgut beer with my one friend, it felt like somebody lit off napalm in my f**k' stomach.

Oh well, I have Comand and Conquer Red Alert 3 to play.

Although for some reason on the first try I couldn't install it. Said the file was corrupted. :|
Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge beats out all other RTS games ever. EVER

Somewhere else. This is a beer thread.

I might return some of my empties and pick up a couple beers this weekend.

That reminds me. I have a ton of empty bottles from over the course of a year and some change just sitting in the cabinet  . Guess I'll go help the planet and recycle.

Do you guys have an actual return program?

Here you have to pay a deposit on every liquor bottle you purchase (it varies depending on size of container), and you can only get it back if you return the bottles to The Beer Store.

We pay deposits on cans and bottles here. IIRC, its 5 cents per container. Same goes for recycling. Except some containers you buy don't even go through the machine so you actually can't get a refund.
Has anyone ever had Hennepin before? Its based in Cooperstown, so I don't know it makes it outside of the surrounding area.

in michigan you pay .10$ per bottle/can/two liter (of soda or beer...not hard liquor or wine) and you return the bottles/cans and you can get your money back :)
