Even taking my eyes off the road for a second to look over my shoulder gets me paranoid about whether someone just ran in front of me or suddenly decided to stop, doing that every couple of seconds while texting would be scary.
but i can text without looking :o

I type with my keyboard underneath my and would be OK with a Das Keyboard. However, it takes me about 20-30 seconds to type a WORD with the numerical keypad. More if I'm trying to figure out how to add a dash or period. I don't get how people get so much text time as to be proficient with a cell phone keypad.

To solve that problem just lug around a keyboard and look like an uber micro dude while you're at it.

If you use it, you get used to it. I actually prefer texting with a number pad, as long as t9 isnt on. I hate t9.

Yeah proper texting is chatspeak on steroids. Almost as bad as 1337sp34k, almost.

I almost always text with full english words. Ill throw the occational idk in there, but thats about it. I hate reading chatspeak, so I dont type it either.

I text full words with periods. The word in next sentence is automatically capitalized. Then again, it's easier with a full keypad on my phone. On a regular phone i still text full words and none of that abbreviated crap. It irritates me.

but seriously, you gotta be drunk or stoned to go 90 on a random road and not realize it. i understand going 90 on the highway, thats normal as sh1t, but going 90 on a random county road, thats kinda reckless. how the hell did you not go to jail for 40 over, your lucky as sh1t cop was cool in a big way.
by the way it wasnt some random county road it was state route 42
