Dont believe any stories about Saab going under until the entire company is completely gone from the face of the planet. Saab has found a guardian angel in Victor Muller.

Back to those thrilling days of Yester-Year.....

Tackling Boston in a Saab 96 (not in a '96 SAAB)

The four-speed column shifter feels precise and well oiled and snaps into place with a click: "Your arm does the same thing [as a floor shifter]," explained Charles, "Your wrist just has to turn. It's pretty hard to describe." But it's surprisingly easy to grasp and get used to, literally and figuratively: from the steering wheel it's right at one's fingertips. Paddle shifters? Stuff it.

....literary hero Kurt Vonnegut, who once described the Saab as "the wet dream of engineers in an airplane factory who had never made a car before."

That guy is a bit of a pain in the ass. I actually avoid him at meets just due to some of the stories my friends have told.

Hes just a smug prick. Drives around meets with a Swedish Chef doll smushed in his sunroof. A bit high and mighty but without anything to back it up. Doesn't drink nearly enough to be a Saab guy, but that's subjective.

There are so many good breweries around New England. There are at least three brewery tour cruises every year. First one this year is at the end of next month.
