Re: What Color?
Overly metallic. I love the first one though. Really dark red is the way to go.

Re: What Color?
Sorry to be a wanker, but I wouldn't paint it. Older cars with older paint and a little patina look good. No need to be shiny and clean (well, clean is nice.)
I would take the money you'd spend on paint and buy another car to mess with. The Alfa is too pretty to be a project car.

It's already been repainted once, and it's already been restored from the ground up.eggwich delfiero wrote:Sorry to be a wanker, but I wouldn't paint it. Older cars with older paint and a little patina look good. No need to be shiny and clean (well, clean is nice.)

But it was one of those $500 hangover jobs. It generally looks like shit. (Lots of orange-peely around the window sills, the paint's cracking on the trunk lid, it's got little wrinkles everywhere, and it's got some rust on the trunk lid I want to fix)

Re: What Color?
British Racing Green actually looks really good on a lot of Alfas, and it has appeared and classic Alfas in the past. Even older than your 1974 thingy.

There's one around here. It's just as ugly on the screen as it is on the street. It isn't a good color for any vehicle.AHTOXA wrote:Maybe it's different in person, but in that picture that color is kinda ugly.

Re: What Color?
If painting makes sense, I would stick to the original color. I'm just a nerd like that. When I see a car ad that says, "Black ext, originally blue," or anything like that I move right on to the next ad.
But hey man, it's your car, go for what you love.

I'm actually thinking I'm just going to see if I can get a small tube of touch up paint.
