4onthefloor's new wheels
****EDIT***** Current pics on page 7.
So I've been in the process of moving and starting a new job recently. After a hectic week of trying to find an apartment, I've finally got a place to live and a car to drive.
I kept it in the dark in my other thread but I'm here to reveal my new ride. I also went out and snapped some mediocre pics today. I live near the water now so I may go out and take some better pics by the water at a later date.
2007 Impreza 2.5i Special Edition:
-173HP boxer four (sounds sweet )
-AWD goodness
-Heated seats
-Power moonroof
-Fancy 1-piece bucket seats
-Automatic climate control
-Upgraded stereo

HAWT. Would definitely hit. The seats look sweeeeet. How's the performance? Any thoughts on exhaust?
Congrats!

Thanks I'm definitely glad it came with those seats rather than the regular seats with the separate headrests. They add a sportier element to the car.94Corolla5Speed wrote:HAWT. Would definitely hit. The seats look sweeeeet. How's the performance? Any thoughts on exhaust?
Congrats!
As for the performance, it's no STI but it pulls strong and the shifting is nice and crisp.
Exhaust wise I'd love to do something modest. Nothing obnoxious but something that lets out that deep rumble of the boxer. However due to the events of last week, I'm deeper in debt than I was before and my budget won't allow for any mods for a while. I'll have to see what my situation is like in a few months.

Looks good. I miss my bugeye.
Almost wish I kept it and spent the money to pinpoint and repair the gas smell.

Yep, but they were an upgrade option. These are the standard seats:DKaz wrote:Whoa those are stock seats?? Sweet ride, congrats!

Re: 4onthefloor's new wheels
So now that I've finally got my internet issues sorted out I have a few questions.
1) I was thinking that I might go STI exhaust-wise. I know a lot of owners like to swap their exhausts out for aftermarket parts. I was thinking about maybe trying to score someones old STI pipes. Do you think this would work out well?
2) What do you folk think of CAIs?
That is all for now. Thanks kindly for the comments.

Cold air intakes are awesome. Boost in performance, boost in fuel economy, make the engine sound a billion times better. Granted, I don't have any personal experience with them but everyone seems to love them.

Re: 4onthefloor's new wheels
Short ram intakes don't sacrifice much gain (there's no much gain from a CAI to begin with) but are more manageable and there's less chance of hydrolock.
