Congratulations, Squint! I've a soft spot for the Fiesta and Focus, especially the new ones. They seem well-made.

I'll try to get pics up today or tomorrow. I've been busy and out of the state. Catching up on work today, but possibly this evening or tomorrow..

Did you consider the Mazda 2 at all? If so what made you go for the Fiesta? I've heard people say that the Mazda 2 feels sportier, but I haven't driven either so I can't really comment.

Either way, nice choice on the car/colour. My dad has a new(ish) Focus that is quite nice.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

Here you are, you needy needy people.. a few pictures to whet the appetite:

Couple outside pictures from the evening we picked it up. Sorry for low-ish light levels. And all photos were taken with my cellphone so only moderate quality.

One of the things I like about this forum is that a lot of people here are literate enough to use the correct word. I bet you also know it's "pique" not "peak" when you're talking about your interest. Image

I did know that. My new word that I learned this weekend is "mondegreen." Look up that one on dictionary.com and get the etymology on that one...

Hint: it sort of relates to what you said.

Car looks great, I really like the steering wheel and instrument cluster.

Thanks, it's easy and simple to see and use. About the only thing I don't like is there is not a coolant temperature gauge. But other than that, you can scroll through the odometer/trip odo/avg mpg/speed on that small screen where you see the odometer. And steering wheel controls are easy enough to use. Nothing terribly complicated once you get over the basic learning curve of Sync. I pretty much use Sync for hands free cell phone use and occasionally for listening to music.

EDIT: Maybe I should just become a teacher with the corrections I keep making for spelling, grammar, and comprehension...

What is the purpose of the "M" button on the steering wheel (left side)?

Shadow, I believe this is accurate, but I don't actually remember. And the car is at the dealership to do an "I Owe You" service to the vehicle. When I get it back (should be today or tomorrow) I will check and let you know. I don't think I've ever used that "M" button, though.

EDIT: Just found out I'll be getting it back today. So I'll let you know tomorrow what it does

Just wondering----if you just got the car two weeks ago, how is it already in for an "I Owe You" service? Are you putting some crazy miles on the car already?
