Hi everyone! Just wanted to say how much I appreciate this website! It has helped me immensely by overcoming my anxiety's as a n00b stick driver.
First stick car
2014 WRX - Purchased 4/26/14
My roommate drove it home for me. She taught me the basics over the weekend and was off to work the following Monday. Talk about anxiety!!
Second
2010 MINI Cooper S - Purchased 5/26/14
The Subaru just didn't fit my style. Was too plain and the gas mileage was hurting my wallet (People don't buy WRX's or STI's because it gets great gas mileage lol)
3rd and final purchase for this year.
2013 JCW (John Cooper Works) - Purchased 11/28/14
After driving the S for a couple months. I realized that I should have gotten the JCW to begin with. I've learned the basics and some advanced stuff like rev-matching. Now with the JCW, i'm taking my sweet time to really get a feel for the clutch and proper shifting etiquette.
Thanks and hello!

My coworker wants one of those. Even with the body weight. It will devastate pretty much anything on the road.Rope-Pusher wrote:Considering the recent gas prices,......

Your comment got me to stinkin',......watkins wrote:As long as there arent too many turns to take
When I'm driving in RWD and it gets kinda snowy and I'm just battling oversteer and trying to get some power to the ground,......Shifting into 4WD feels kinda nice - it tends to go where I steer it and I can get out of my own way once again.
Is that what it's like driving a Hellcat Challenger or Charger on dry roads? Would having AWD make it less frustrating to drive? I bet you could still steer it with the loud pedal, but you might just have to be a little more deliberate about it.
