Also I don't think it was stolen, the finesse with which he put it into R and back into D showed that he had experience with an automatic which around here nobody except very rich show-offs have.

Enough to avoid pushing it into Park when pushing from D to R. It's different with those newfangled 7-series though. There's a small stalk that moves in and out, and clicks in to engage Park. So the answer to your original question, Sypher: enough wrist strength to flick a small switch up, and then back down again.
