Weird feeling in clutch.

I just noticed that my clutch is feeling weird. It used to have a very smooth feeling on the way to the floor and back off. Now when I push down on it it is very hard to push and feels kind of crunchy on the way down for a lack of a better word. It is smooth on the way up though. I hope its nothing serious .

Hmm.. Probably one of your clutch hydraulic cylinders (master or slave) going out. Seems to be the cause of most clutch problems. Get it checked by a mechanic; chances are they'll be able to tell you what's wrong just by stepping on it.

Any chance you glazed the clutch recently? High RPMs on a launch?

Yeah John. Me and my friend were doing some spirited driving and I did a high RPM launch to get alittle burnt rubber. You think that could be a problem? I don't have much cash flow so I don't know about an immediate mechanic.

you just glazed your clutch then, it will feel weird for a few days til the glaze wears off, then it will return to normal.

if it doesnt go away in like 2 weeks, then you mightve warped your flywheel. but that would be noticeable, youd be getting pulsation in your clutch pedal and it would feel like clutch chatter
